While Tony De Abreu’s career in the building industry began in 2001, he has always been connected and had a passion for the building industry thanks to his father and numerous other family members strong presence in the building industry.
Tony grew up spending many years of his childhood and youth on construction sites with his father and has fond memories of going on-site with his father, who has been a builder since the 70s and has built homes across every state in Australia, before settling down in Perth.
After completing high school, Tony went on to study a Diploma and Advanced Diploma in Accounting. When he wasn’t studying, he would work with his family bricklaying. 6 months after completing his diploma in accounting, he realised working in an office wasn’t for him and he started his own bricklaying contracting service where he worked for some of Perth’s most reputable builders.
During his 20 years in the industry, Tony has made some great friends and associates and has seen the industry evolve and change. He understands we never stop learning and his accomplishments and further education in the building industry include:
- Building multiple display homes for various building companies and being nominated in the “Best Brickwork category”.
- Completing a Diploma in Building and Construction in 2018 with the Master Builders Association of WA.
- Becoming a registered Building Practitioner, BP103259.
- Completing Complete Residential Building Inspections (CRBI) training
- Travelling interstate to complete other Building Training Courses that aren’t offered in Western Australia.
Tony is now focused on using his knowledge and experience by providing a Building and Inspection Service, where he can assist his clients, on making one of the biggest financial purchases, a safe and enjoyable experience.
He prides himself on providing inspections that are thorough, detailed and in accordance with AS 4349.1. He uses the latest technology, non-invasive moisture meters and thermal imaging cameras, to see the things that your eyes just can’t see.
Tony has been married for over 15 years to his lovely wife and loves spending as much time as he can with his wife and their 4 children. He enjoys being outdoors and enjoys fishing/boating, gardening and travel. His outdoor adventures include hiking along the Bibbulmun Track and prospecting for gold in the remote outback of Western Australia. Tony also has a keen interest in building and renovating properties.
